Freebie Spring Digi Kit!

My Pookie Designs site is under a bit of 'construction' right now, so I'm going to post this on here for now.... This isn't necessarily an Easter kit, more so Spring, so it's ok that I'm late :) I could actually say I'm early because Spring seems to not have arrived yet. (boooooo!)

I used to not like Tulips, weren't my favorite type of flower, but just this year I've been blown away at how bright and beautiful they are. Temple Square always has them in abundance, and they look beautiful right along with the cherry blossom trees...oooh don't even get me started on those! Anyways, tulips and sheep gave me the idea for this Springy kit. Don't ask me why about the sheepy, just because I wanted to draw one. :)

Because I don't have a great photo of tulips.....

Introducing......

I got a new site up, called My Pookie Designs, named after my Mikkie. I wanted to have a place specifically for my designs. I'm SO excited about it! My digi scrapbook kits will now be sold for only $2! I will still do occasional freebies and giveaways! What I'm most excited about is my fabric, coming soon!! Trust me, it's going to be cute. :)

I Am Like a Star Freebie Digi Kit

Take a wild guess who this kit is dedicated to.......yup, my sweet angel Mikkie.

I didn't realize til I was folding her clothes how much her pajama top was part of my poem. The sun, rain, rainbow...totally cool. Perfect! There's a lot of symbolism in this kit.

-The star is from the song "I am like a star" which was her favorite bedtime song

-The helicopter is for when she "flew to Jesus"

-The butterfly for a few reasons--I was intending on decorating her room with a butterfly theme and purple, and cuz she always said "flaw" for 'fly' but flies aren't as cute as butterflies so I went with the latter....I'm sure she agrees. I just love butterflies.

-The gum balls because she LOVED gum. Absolutely loved gum. I would always be finding a whole empty pack in my purse.

-The 'white crochet paper' is a piece of her beautiful crocheted dress that was donated.

So there ya go, that's my baby girl in a nutshell. :) Add all the happiness and cuteness in the world and that's her. I love and miss her like crazy.

This past week and half have been uber crazy-busy!! With being sick, driving all over the valley, having guests over and celebrating a holiday, life is keepin me goin! I feel like I can finally sit down and breathe....I better not speak too soon. :)

As you probably gathered in my previous post, I LOVE Independence day!! Here's to our beautiful flag, "Old Glory" that represents courage, peace and freedom. May we all remember the great sacrifices that were selflessly made to make it possible for us to enjoy so many freedoms we have today, they did not come at a cheap price!

Freebie Father's Day Digi Kit!!

This one goes out to TWO of the most AMAZING men in my life. My Dad and Hubby!

I love and admire my dad SO much! I'm grateful for all he's taught me over the years (and continuing to). I'm grateful to him for being nothing but pure good to us, what a great example he was and still is to me, I will always look up to him.

I love and admire Tim also! He continues to amaze me with that mind of his. I don't think my brain will ever think the way his does. :) He.Is.Genious. I admire how much he does for me and the girls, never asking for anything in return and does it all willingly and without complaint. If that aint love, I don't know what is. He is seriously a one-of-a-kind guy and I'm so grateful, blessed and lucky that God gave him to ME! :)

I love that they get along so well!

Angel Mother Freebie Kit

Fashionably late as usual. ;) I hope everyone's Mother's day weekend was as awesome as mine!

Obviously I'm dedicating this kit to my mother. If I had to sum my mom up in one word, without hesitation I would say "Christlike". She's without a doubt, one amazing woman and my best friend. I love that she was and is always there for me; there after school with freshly baked cookies and listens about my day, there for a shoulder to cry on when I had a bad day, there supporting and cheering me on at every single performance I've ever done, there with helpful advice and reminders when I was in a bind, there to entertain my friends at sleepovers when I fell asleep early, there to laugh with me, cry with me, talk with me anytime.....still to this day. I couldn't ask for a better mom.

When my mom was in the hospital in 07 my sister and I got her a little angel with flowers and took them to her. Since then the quote from Abraham Lincoln, "All that I am or hope to be, I owe to my Angel Mother" is the one we've used for our mom. Hence the name for this kit. I'm so grateful for my mom and that she's still with us, I don't know what I'd do without her.

Freebie Valentines kit 2!

This one is "Puppy Love" dedicated to my cute doggy Rex(aka Rexy poo, aka Rexamus Poochamus), who died almost exactly a year ago. My family had him since he was a pup back in '95. We had him for 14 years! He was totally family; the sweetest, most loyal, funniest dog you'd ever known! He wouldn't have hurt a flea. (sure, he'd eat a mouse or cat-but not a flea!) I miss that pooch SO much. It's not the same going to visit my parents and not being able to pet his lil head,rub his ears and tummy and baby talk to him telling him how he's the cootest witto poochie, while he gives me the "wow, you're weird but I don't care as long as you keep rubbing my belly" look.

February 8, 2009 was one of the saddest days of my life when he had to be put down due to a zillion heath problems. He lived a good, long life though. We love and miss him very much!

First one is "Love Bug". This one is for my handsome hubby. Valentines was not my favorite holiday until I married him. He is a quite the Romantic. He has and continues to be very good to me. I couldn't imagine life with anyone else. He is perfect for me. I love you sweetie!

For the gorgeous family pictures we got taken by Marcie, I, in turn, designed some Christmas card templates for her photography! I'm excited with how they turned out! She of course took all these pictures except theirs....the first one. She does a fantastic job!

I have very much been enjoying Fall! It def. brings a smile to my face.

I didn't used to really like Thanksgiving....thought it was boring. Now that I've matured (hahaha), I've come to appreciate the holiday. It's so peaceful, relaxing and it's all about spending time with loved ones while stuffing your faces with num-a-licious food til you're blue in the face! How could anyone not love that?!

Scrappin' time again! I was hoping to get this out sooner (I even have another Halloween and Fall kit too) but better now than never, eh!

I love these classic Halloween colors, but making a Halloween kit was a little too broad so I decided to narrow this kit down to witchies and spideys. Spiders are not at all my very favorite things (just ask Tim) but somehow they're just cute when cartoonized.
